Goals and Pricing
Chris Coffin Photography
My goal as your photographer is to capture the essence of the time leading up to and during your wedding day. I approach your wedding in much the same way as I photograph a performance, seeking out the defining elements both large and small rather than simply recording everything in sight. Also, I find that the best group shot is almost never the one with everyone looking at the camera trying to say cheese at the same time. Therefore I generally avoid “set-up” poses and situations, instead preferring to emphasize the interactions of family and friends, their emotions and connections, through candid portraits.
As with performance coverage, I insist on being at the rehearsal as well as "opening night", in this case your ceremony. Being there for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, as well as the ceremony and reception, allows me to become more attuned to individuals and how they relate to one another. Being at the rehearsal also gives me the opportunity to get a feel for the setting and a sense of timing for the ceremony itself.
After the big day, it is important that you are able to receive and share the photographs of your wedding with ease. Therefore you will receive digital copies of all images on cd/dvd suitable for 4 x 6 prints, as well as an online gallery with the ability to place orders for more prints and print sizes (payable by all major credit cards). Wedding packages begin at $2200, which includes coverage of your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and the wedding day through the reception. I don't limit your coverage to a set number of hours (which doesn't necessarily mean I'll be the last one to leave the reception), instead I prefer to take as many photos as are needed to capture the full story of your wedding.
There are also a number of ways to customize your order to suit your needs, including proof books, custom archival printing and wedding albums. Please with your questions and for more details.
